Comium Donates to Old People’s Home:
The Home of The Elderly, under The Department of Social Service, is a center supported by government and is a family facility that houses the Center for Children and Home for the Elderly, and provides residential care services for vulnerable members of society which include Children and Elders with difficult circumstances and women in need of protection.
On Saturday 18th September, Comium Gambia Ltd donated valuable food and non items to the Center. The items included Cooking Oil, Rice, Sugar, Milk, Laundry Basins, Soap, amongst others.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the Social Welfare Service, Fanta Bai Secka, The Director of Social Welfare Service, immensely thanked Comium for the gesture, describing it as a first of a kind. Addressing a team of Nurses and Social Workers, Mrs. Njie went on to say, “the donation marks the beginning of a new partnership between the center and Comium. The donated items would go a long way in complementing governments support to the center”.
Deputizing for the Comium Managing Director, Nyang Njie, Business Development Manager, Comium Gambia, who made the presentation said, “today’s donation is a part of Comium’s Corporate Social Program that we have endeavored over the past couple of months”. On behalf of the Comium Management and Staff, Mr. Njie thanked Comium subscribers for their loyalty, which made the donation possible. He further stated that similar donations will be made in the coming weeks.
Haddy Dandeh Jabbi, Comium’s Legal Advisor & HR Manager, also part of Senior Management representing the Managing Director, thanked the Center for receiving Comium with open arms. Upon completion of the presentation, Mrs. Jabbi was taken on a tour of the facility.
Comium is currently involved in other community activities.
